The full season of Bly Manor will drop on Netflix this Friday, October 9 at 3/2c a.m. That means if you’re based on the West Coast you’re looking at a fairly reasonable midnight release time. But if you’re East Coast bound you’ll have to wait until the witching hour to start streaming and screaming.

Bly Manor is a sequel, in a way. Each season of The Haunting series adapts a different classic ghost story. It’s an anthology in the same way as American Horror Story. You may be seeing the same actors in different seasons, but they’ll be playing new roles.
The first season of the show, The Haunting of Hill House, loosely adapted Shirley Jackson’s 1959 novel of the same name. For its second season The Haunting is going almost a hundred years back in time. The Haunting of Bly Manor is loosely based on Henry James’ 1898 horror novella The Turn of the Screw as well as his other ghost stories. This new season follows a governess who’s hired to look over two orphaned children. Yet the more time she spends in their home of Bly Manor the more she comes to realize that nothing around her is perfectly splendid.
Is There a Haunting of Bly Manor Review?
You bet. At the time of publication Bly Manor was averaging 89 percent on Rotten Tomatoes. Considering that The Haunting of Hill House earned a 93 percent, that’s not too far off from The Haunting’s first season.
