As too many Americans have done this year, @potus & I are quarantining at home after testing positive for COVID-19. We are feeling good & I have postponed all upcoming engagements. Please be sure you are staying safe & we will all get through this together.

The announcement comes after one of Trump’s close aides tested positive for coronavirus just hours before. Hope Hicks had traveled with the President, on both Air Force One and Marine One. Other figures inside the White House were negative for COVID-19.

The news of the positive coronavirus test sent shockwaves across the world. Stock futures were down sharply. There were even reports of military plane activities on the east and west coast

While some of the President’s critics were respectful and wished a speedy recovery, many were not so friendly. Many responded just as expected if the President were to test positive.
