Kim Zolciak’s son Kash recently underwent reconstructive facial surgery for injuries sustained from a dog bite three years ago.

On Wednesday the “Real Housewives of Atlanta” alum posted several photos of 8-year-old Kash in the hospital, describing him as “the toughest, bravest little boy I have ever met.”

Zolciak revealed that she and husband Kroy Biermann knew Kash would require further surgery due to the severity of the injuries, but admits that the news hit them both “pretty hard.”

“We had a rough couple days,” Zolciak wrote. “Kroy and I cried many many times along side Kash.”

It wasn’t until three days after this latest surgery — and hours after she had sent out a plea to friends to pray for them — that Kash “looked right into my eyes and said, ‘Mom I feel great!’ I knew we were on the road to recovery.”

Kash’s 2017 attack happened at Zolciak’s home when the family’s rescue dog Sinn attacked him. The 5-year-old was hospitalized for four days and underwent emergency surgery to save his eye.

Kim and Kroy are also parents to Kaia and Kane, and the “Don’t Be Tardy” singer also has two daughters, Brielle and Ariana, from a previous relationship.
