‘Cake Boss’ Buddy Valastro makes hospital-themed cake for medical staff

What a sweet thank-you.

“Cake Boss’’ TV star Buddy Valastro whipped up a special message of gratitude for the Manhattan medical staff who tended to his mangled left hand — an edible replica of their hospital and doctor and nurse scrubs.

“Check out the super special cake I made for Dr. Michelle Carlson, the nurses and staff at @hspecialsurgery as a token of my immense appreciation!’’ Valastro wrote on Facebook late Wednesday — above photos of a towering cake featuring the box-like facility, a doctor’s shirt scrubs complete with stethoscope and pearls and a nurse’s version that included scissors and a face mask.

“It replicates the main hospital there in #NYC,’’ the reality-show owner of Carlo’s Bakery in Hoboken, NJ, said of his iced ode to the renowned Hospital for Special Surgery.

“ I could never thank them enough for all they have done to help me on this journey to a full recovery ♥️ #roadtorecovery @ Hospital for Special Surgery,’’ Valastro added.

The star baker’s dominant hand was repeatedly impaled by a malfunctioning pinsetter at his home bowling alley in September, and he underwent two surgeries to repair it.
